How times have changed 0136-How times have changed A description and documentation of Avatime

This story was recorded in Amedzofe at a meeting with 10 elderly people. The 10 people were divided into two groups and we talked with each group for an hour. In the first session Sammy interviewed the first five people about what has changed since they were young and what they think Amedzofe will be like in the future. In the second session, Sammy asked the other five people to tell their life stories and then asked if there were other stories or folk tales they could tell. This story was part of the second session in Amedzofe. Awua and Yawa talk about the puberty rites or 'ablabe' as they were performed in the past. Awua speaks first, then Wisdom translates her story, then Yawa speaks some more. This story has been transcribed in ELAN, a toolbox file has been created from the ELAN file.
