This article examines the limitations and possibilities of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Geography teaching at Mozambican universities, highlighting its pedagogical benefits and the challenges related to digital inclusion. The general objective of the study is to explore how AI can enrich teaching by facilitating the understanding of complex spatial phenomena, and how structural barriers and insufficient teacher training impact its application. The possibilities that AI offers in Geography teaching are vast. AI-based tools, such as intelligent tutoring systems and virtual reality simulators, enable personalized, interactive, and immersive learning experiences. With these resources, students can explore complex geographical landscapes, simulate climate change, and analyze spatial data in real time, significantly enhancing their theoretical and practical understanding of geographical concepts. Using a qualitative approach with bibliographic and documentary methods, the results indicate that AI can transform geographic education, but it requires policies for technological equity and investments in infrastructure. The study concludes that the sustainable adoption of AI depends on collaborative efforts to balance innovation and inclusion. The strategic and ethical use of AI in Geography teaching in Mozambique has the potential to transform the educational landscape, broadening spatial analysis horizons and strengthening critical thinking.
