README – Kampala Flood Accessibility Dataset Overview This dataset contains model outputs and derived data supporting the analysis of flood-induced changes in physical accessibility to healthcare facilities in Kampala, Uganda. The data were generated using AccessMod-based travel time modelling across multiple rainfall scenarios and are used to produce the main and supplementary results presented in the manuscript. The dataset provides the minimum required information to reproduce the study findings, including baseline accessibility, flood scenario outputs, population-weighted travel time changes, and nutrition-sensitive vulnerability indices. Dataset Structure 1. Baseline Accessibility raster_travel_time_Base_all.imgBaseline travel time (minutes) to the nearest healthcare facility (all facilities). raster_travel_time_Base_hosp.imgBaseline travel time (minutes) to the nearest hospital. 2. Flood Scenario Outputs Flood scenarios are defined by rainfall intensity (mm) and duration (seconds). MLC_flood__.tifModified land cover rasters representing flood-affected conditions. 3. Travel Time Impact (Delta Travel Time) Population-weighted increase in travel time relative to baseline: weighted_delta_tt__.tifIncrease in travel time (minutes) to all healthcare facilities. weighted_delta_tt_hosp__.tifIncrease in travel time (minutes) to hospitals. Example: weighted_delta_tt_80_3600.tif → 80 mm rainfall, 1 hour duration (3600 seconds) 4. Vulnerability Indices vuln_raster_index_scaled.tifEqual-weight nutrition-sensitive vulnerability index (scaled 0–100, classified into quartiles Q1–Q4). PCA_index.tifPrincipal Component Analysis (PCA)-based vulnerability index. 5. Aggregated Impact Layers x_delta_all.tifAggregated travel time increase for all facilities. x_delta_hosp.tifAggregated travel time increase for hospitals. 6. Model Configuration Files config_analysis_parameters_*.jsonConfiguration files used for AccessMod simulations, including parameters for baseline and flood scenarios. 7. Tabular Data (Core Reproducibility Files) Supplementary Data 3.xlsxSupplementary data underlying main manuscript figures (Figures 3–6), with one worksheet per figure. Supplementary Data 1.xlsxFull statistical summary of travel time increases across all 15 flood scenarios. Supplementary Data 2.xlsxVulnerability-stratified statistical summary of travel time increases across all 15 flood scenarios. Units and Definitions Travel time and travel time increases are expressed in minutes. Rainfall intensity is expressed in millimetres (mm). Scenario duration is expressed in seconds (s). Vulnerability is represented as quartiles (Q1 lowest to Q4 highest). All raster layers are projected to UTM Zone 36N at 10 m resolution. Flood extents derive from the hydrodynamic model of McClean et al. (2021), already listed under Related works. Reproducibility All data required to reproduce the main findings are included in this dataset.
