<p><span>Combating Cyberbullying Among Young People: Evaluating Education, Technology, And Law as Solutions</span></p>

Cyberbullying has emerged as a pervasive digital harm confronting young people in Nigeria and globally. As social media platforms such as X, TikTok, Telegram, Snapchat, and Facebook have become inseparable from adolescent sociality, they simultaneously harbor harassment, body shaming, identity attacks, sexual shaming, and violence. This study examines three frameworks for combating cyberbullying: education, technology, and law, interrogating their strengths, limitations, and potential within Nigeria. The educational framework emphasises digital literacy and awareness-raising; the technological approach relies on design interventions, reporting mechanisms, and content moderation; and the legal framework mobilises statutory protections and liability. Each faces shortcomings when deployed in isolation. Educational initiatives struggle with resource constraints. Technological solutions remain reactive and fail to address cultural dimensions of harm. Legal frameworks encounter enforcement challenges and lack awareness among young people. This paper argues that coordinated, multisectoral responses offer the most durable path toward protecting young people from digital harm. Such integration requires collaboration among educators, technology companies, policymakers, and practitioners to create a protective ecosystem responsive to Nigerian adolescent life.
