Kaado Darage performs three lyre songs of the kaldi baaba (file 002), aakkwase (file 003) and baac'a (file 004)-rhythm. The original recording (file 001) contained all three songs which were then split up into individual files. The speaker Maridi Zhuguddo sometimes steps in with whistles and cheers (= called sheekitts in Baskeet). Yvonne Treis is a linguist and works on Ethiopian languages at CNRS in France.
