This scoping review aims to map the existing knowledge on the natural course of recovery, post-operative visual outcomes and follow-up protocols after adult cataract surgery in Africa. In the present study, primary studies published within the past ten years that include any of the following; natural course of recovery, post-operative visual outcomes and follow-up patterns after cataract surgery among adults paying particular focus to Africa shall be considered. We shall also include gray literature such as WHO repositories, government policy documents and conference abstracts.
