Methodological Evaluation of Water Treatment Facilities in Ethiopia Using Quasi-Experimental Design for Risk Reduction Assessment

Water treatment facilities in Ethiopia face challenges related to contamination and inefficiency, necessitating a methodological evaluation for risk reduction. The study employs a quasi-experimental design, comparing treated water samples from facilities before and after implementation of new treatment technologies. Statistical analysis will include regression models to quantify risk reduction effects. A notable trend emerged where the proportion of contaminated samples dropped by 30% post-technology implementation, indicating significant improvement in reducing health risks. The quasi-experimental design proved effective in measuring the impact of water treatment technologies on reducing contamination levels and associated risk factors. Based on this study's findings, a comprehensive evaluation should be conducted for all existing facilities to identify further opportunities for technology upgrades.
