This scoping review will synthesize the current models of delivery, implementation outcomes, and evidence of effectiveness of pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) for patients with chronic lung diseases in Africa. The review will be conducted in accordance with JBI scoping review methodology and reported according to PRISMA-ScR guidelines.
Specifically, the review will map existing PR delivery models, including programme structures, adaptations, and the approaches used to evaluate them. It will further describe the clinical guidelines informing PR delivery, associated clinical outcomes, and implementation outcomes, including acceptability, completion rates, and barriers and facilitators to implementation.
