NOM PROPRE EN AFRIQUE : DE LA TRADITION AUX INFLUENCES DE LA MODERNITÉ : ACTES DU COLLOQUE DU 6 AU 8 NOVEMBRE 2023

International audience The present symposium aims to visit the practices of naming in French-speaking Africa, the changes of habits in the appellatives, the influences of Western civilizations on thenames and their spelling, it is about visiting the ideologies and the beliefs about the choice of proper names in African societies, to think the name from a gender perspective, of sexuality,of the language, in African existential thought. We want also question the relationship of the name with African languages in its phonological and phonetic use. It would be interesting tolook at the proper name as a description of culture and African identities.Objectives of the conference: Through the different oral communications which will be presented around proper names in the African space,the following objectives are targeted:- Highlight the place of the proper name in African societies;- Discover the issues of identity of people, places andanimals in African societies;- See the appearance of the name in all possible perspectives. Le présent colloque vise à visiter les pratiques de la dénominationen Afrique francophone, les changements des habitudes dans lesappellatifs, les influences de la civilisations occidentales sur lesnoms et leur graphie, il s’agit de visiter les idéologies et lescroyances sur le choix des noms propres dans les sociétés africaines,de penser le nom dans une perspective de genre, de la sexualité,de la langue, dans la pensée existentielle africaine. Nous voulonségalement interroger le rapport du nom avec les langues africainesdans son usage phonologique et phonétique. Il serait intéressant deregarder le nom propre comme signalement de la culture et desidentités africaines.Objectifs du colloque : A travers les différentes communications oralesqui seront présentées autour des noms propres dans l’espace africain,les objectifs suivants sont visés :- Mettre en valeur la place du nom propre dans les sociétés africaines ;- Découvrir les enjeux de l’identité des personnes, des lieux et desanimaux dans les sociétés africaines ;- Voir l’aspect du nom dans toutes les perspectives possibles.
