Hearing that Kwame Addo was burning/making charcoal, a foreign but a common activity in the area, we visited him at his working site to demonstrate to us the processes of making it. The over two-hour video, captured on two separate days, covers scenes and conversations on the falling of trees and its neatly arrangement, digging of soil, and covering the trees up with grass and the soil. It also captures the lighting of the trees and collection of the final product, i.e. the charcoal. The elan files contain (raw) transcription of Nkami's recording and Akan translation. They have not been translated into English yet.
