Maca (Lepidium meyenii), a nutrient-dense root crop, has gained attention as a functional food and feed ingredient due to its energy, protein, and bioactive compound content. This study evaluates the proximate composition of yellow maca grown in Kafanchan, Nigeria, with a focus on its application in poultry and livestock nutrition. Laboratory analysis revealed moisture content at 5.15%, ash at 5.78%, lipid at 7.65%, protein at 13.38%, fiber at 18.66%, and carbohydrate at 68.04%.
