Boshadi Leungo recites a traditional folktale. This session includes an audio and video recording of the folktale and a second audio and video recording of the same folktale explained by the speaker in Setswana. Lee is the linguist on the project and has worked with different San communities in Namibia and Botswana since 2011. Lerothodi acted as the main translator for the project, translating to and from English and Setswana. Boshadi LEungo lives in Marula Bapedi, an informal settlement in Serowe but remembers living further to the west towards the Kweneng district as a child. Her family moved to Serowe when the Pedi clan encroached on their land. She was born in 1941.
