Can radio shows help to promote pro-peace attitudes in conflict-torn regions? Focusing on North-East Nigeria, this study evaluates the impact of edutainment programs on listener attitudes toward the reintegration of children formerly associated with armed groups. We conduct a randomized control trial using computer assisted telephone interviews (CATI). Up to 2000 respondents will be randomly assigned to listen to our treatment show or an unrelated control show. Respondents will receive phone credits as an incentive to listen to their assigned show over 8 weeks, and are asked to participate in two surveys at the beginning and end of this period. We also contact respondents to have them answer one compliance question after each episode to ensure that they listen to the show. Our baseline and endline surveys focus on social cohesion and attitudes toward the peace process, in particular regarding the reintegration of children formerly associated with Boko Haram.
