This repository contains the complete Python codebase used to produce all results, figures, and supplementary figures in the manuscript "Seasonal Asymmetry in Vegetation Stress: How Drought Response Times, Drivers, and Irrigation Reshape Water Constraint Across India".
The pipeline quantifies how the spatiotemporal relationship between vegetation condition (NDVI, LAI, FPAR4G, and GPP) and drought (SPEI) has changed across India's Kharif and Rabi growing seasons (1982–2020), attributes these changes to four drivers (temperature, precipitation, solar radiation, CO₂), tests the buffering role of irrigation, and validates satellite-diagnosed vegetation stress against district-level crop yields.
