A lot of information on employment options is available online since using the internet to learn is crucial. This, however, poses some level of difficulty in the effective utilization of information and communication technology (ICT) in careers. This article gathers opinions on vocational careers from apprentices and secondary school students in Nigeria through interviews and focus groups. The relationship that exists between users and system operations was established using Unified Modelling Language (UML) tools. A Vocational Career Information System (VCIS) was developed using web technologies, according to the phases of a change-driven software development life cycle. John Holland's idea of occupational choices was used to recommend career options to users. Twenty users tested the system. 76.50% validates the system's responsiveness. For 81.50%, the system is appealing. 82.50% think the content is adequate. The paper concludes that proper ICT tools are crucial to have pertinent information on vocational careers, just like academic careers. {"references": ["1.\tP.
