Tanzania Southern Highlands Village-Based Agricultural Advisors Baseline Survey

This data set contains baseline survey data from 216 active Village-Based Agricultural Advisors (VBAAs) associated with Farm Input Promotions-Africa operating in seven districts in the Southern Highlands of Tanzania. The data were collected in late January through early February 2017. The survey included questions on each VBAA's involvement in setting up demonstration plots for maize and/or beans as well as their distribution of free small seed packs to promote maize and bean varieties and related inputs and management practices. In addition, information was collected on the VBAA's commercial sales of maize and bean seed, inorganic fertilizers, seed treatments, and pesticides, as well as demographic and socio-economic information.
