Description (Abstract): This article presents a unified classification system for consonantal sounds based on the rotational-geometric logic of the Mandombe script. Building on Wabeladio Payi’s foundational insight and extended through symbolic-linguistic analysis, the system organizes consonants via a four-axis rotational cube—each axis encoding a distinct phonetic or diachronic dimension. Axis A (manner), Axis B (place), Axis C (secondary articulation), and Axis T (historical evolution) yield a principled, extensible, and culturally grounded model of sound classification. This model reclaims African cognitive architectures as a basis for formal linguistic science and offers powerful tools for typology, diachrony, phonotactics, and AI-driven phonology.
