Ultra-Processed Food Consumption and Associated Factors Among Young Adults in Ghana: A Scoping Review Protocol

This is a preregistered protocol for a scoping review aiming to systematically map the existing literature on ultra-processed food (UPF) consumption among young adults (15–35 years) in Ghana. The review will identify the prevalence of UPF consumption, the specific food items commonly consumed, and the sociodemographic and environmental factors associated with UPF intake. The findings will highlight research gaps and inform targeted interventions for health trainees and tertiary students in peri-urban and rural Ghanaian settings.
