This printed program and slide presentations related to the collection of 4 videos of presentations sponsored by the Africana Librarians Council (ALC) at the 2009 African Studies Association 52nd annual meeting. The meeting took place in New Orleans, LA on November 19, 2009. The title of the panel is "Unearthing Africana Collections and Providing Global Access." There are 4 presentations: Part 1: The Endangered African Languages Project at Yale University Library, presented by Dorothy Woodson (Yale University) and Charles Riley (Yale University). Part 2: The Kenya Airlift, 1959-1963, presented by Cora Weiss ( Former Executive Director, African American Students Foundation (AASF)). Part 3: American Committee on Africa (ACOA) Archives, presented by Christopher Harter (Amistad Research Center, Director of Library and Reference Services). Part 4: Joseph-Aurelien Cornet, f.s.c. Collection, Presented by Trish Nugent( Special Collections Librarian/Archivist, Loyola University New Orleans). The panel was organized and moderated by Laverne Page (African & Middle Eastern Division, Library of Congress, Area Specialist (Africa) along with other members of the ALC.
