Africa: a cross-country dataset of nationally determined contribution cost and emission reduction conditionality, and adaptation finance allocation

The dataset is a harmonized cross-country compilation of African countries’ Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), it captures information from the most recenlty updated NDC submissions. The extracted data are;- NDC implementation cost, unconditional and conditional NDC costs, Percentage of NDC cost allocated to adaptation, adaptation cost conditionality, total emission reduction targets, conditional and unconditional emission reduction targets.  NDC documents were retrieved from the UNFCCC NDC Registry. For NDCs not originally submitted in English, translated versions provided by the World Resources Institute (WRI) through the NDC Partnership were used. The dataset is intended to support comparative studies on NDC conditionality and adaption finance in the Africa.
