Boolla Dhiigaa: Addeessa adeemsa raawwii araara buusuu Oromoo Salaalee

Uummanni Oromoo Salaalee bakka araara gumaa itti raawwatu Boolla Dhiigaa qaba. Gumaan daabaa ajjeechaa dhoksaatti raawwateef bakka buusa kaffalamu yoo ta’u, gumaan lubbuu immoo ajjeechaa ragaa qabuuf kan kaffalamuudha. Kaayyoo gooroon qorannoo kanaas adeemsa raawwii araara boolla dhiigaa addeessuudha. Kaayyoo kana galmaan ga’uuf akaakuuwwan qorannoo akkamtaatu bu’uura ta’e. Odeeffannoon afgaaffii gartokkeen qindaa’e, dawwannaa kallattifi sakatta’a barruuwaniitiin kan walitti qabame yemmuu ta’u, mala iddatteessuu kaayyeffataafi dabraa dabarsaatiin warreen odeeffannoo kennan filatamanii jiru. ENGLISH ABSTRACT The Selale Oromoo has the place where the guma reconciliation has taken place. The place where both gumaa lubbuu and gumaa daabaa paid is called Boolla Dhiigaa (Blood’s hole). Therefore, the major objective of this study is to describe the process of reconciliation that is conducted at Boolla Dhiigaa. Inorder to meet this goal, qualitative research method was applied. Data were collected using partially constructed interviews, non participatory observations and document analysis. Purposive and snowball sampling techniques were applied. Since these people believe that crossing each other at the road is taken as if the one cut-off the chance of the other. Boolla dhiigaa is the place where two roads cross each other, and symbolizes that the blood issue has just stopped right there. There are processes that will be done before celebrating ‘Gumaa reconciliation’ process at Boolla Dhiigaa. The person who murdered other person arrange elders to plead (izgootaa) the deceased family to pay for the blood shade. If they accept the reconciliation begging money from the market and the kin will be proceeded via arranging the date that guma reconsilation will be taking place. The date should be Saturday or Monday the date they believe that the ghost can talk at Boolla Dhiigaa. The Oromoo people of this area establish rules and regulations depending on the past history of the ancestors i.e (what the myths says and ayana recommend). Consequently, there is some clue that indicates Boolla Dhiigaa is being moved from its original place that signifies the cause of its establishment. Finally, the recommendation is given in the summary for all the concerned body that has to take responsibility to take care of this place.
